Sartaj began his broadcasting career by joining ZTV and WZIP at the University of Akron. Upon joining as a new member, Sartaj was able to quickly rise to the challenge and immediately joined the ZTV Sports Report and WZIP Sports in order to showcase his passion for the world of sports. Once acclimated to each program, Sartaj began acquiring quality hands on experience in TV and Radio Production, while hosting weekly segments on ZTV Sports recapping the Mid American Conference, and appearing as an On-Air Talent on WZIP Sports’ weekly Sunday show "Sports Power Talk". After a year in both departments, Sartaj ascended quickly and became the Sports Director for WZIP, and an Anchor/Reporter for ZTV Sports. 

     As WZIP Sports Director, Sartaj instituted Sports Updates on regularly scheduled times throughout the day during the week. He also expanded the department by sending his members to report on Akron Athletics and any Northeast Ohio Sports Stories and bring back content to be used for articles, live reports, and special podcasts. As an Anchor/Reporter for ZTV Sports, Sartaj guided the ZTV Sports show through pitches to special packages, highlights, and in-studio interviews. He also created packages regarding stories surrounding Akron Athletics, and interviewed players, coaches, and more. Sartaj's work did not restrict him to Akron, Ohio however. Determined to report, Sartaj traveled to places such as Charleston, South Carolina; Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Cleveland, Ohio; and West Lafayette, Indiana. His peers and staff at ZTV & WZIP have recognized Sartaj’s work, as he is a back-to-back winner of the ZTV Sports Outstanding Contributor award, and has won the WZIP Outstanding Sports Reporter Award. 

     Sartaj has also gained quality-broadcasting experiences at other organizations, too. Currently, Sartaj reports every Friday during the High School Football and Basketball season for WMFD-TV Mansfield, covering North Central Ohio High School Football and Basketball. While attending the University of Akron, Sartaj has also completed internships at ESPN Cleveland, Fox 8 WJW-TV, and The News Outlet. 

     As a fresh college graduate, graduating with a degree after double majoring in News (Journalism) and Radio/TV, Sartaj is looking to continue his journey in Sports Broadcasting.
